Norman Course – Barefoot Resort

N. Myrtle Beach Golf Norman Course

The Norman Course at Barefoot Resort is a unique design at Barefoot and has only 60 acres of mowable grass existing on all 18 holes. Norman uses tactical landscaping and natural vegetation to frame each hole. The course features several holes along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway of North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Greg Norman is an award-winning designer, he’s excited about his design at Barefoot Resort, stating “We have a fabulous piece of property with great elevations and the developer has spared no expense to ensure that this course is the absolute best it can be.” The Norman Course was ranked in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” and was #28 in the “Top 50 Courses of Myrtle Beach” by Golf Digest.

You may be feeling pretty good about your round at the Norman Course until you reach No. 6, a strong par-4 measuring 448 yards from the platinum tees. A narrow fairway must be found in order to traverse a waste area which guards the green. There is no doubt this is the No. 1 handicap on this course.  With GN-1 on the tees and fairways, Tifdwarf grass on the approaches and A-1 bentgrass on the greens, the gently undulating terrain will remain as memorable as the course’s most challenging holes.  Add the Norman Course to your next Golf Vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC.
